Nutanix AHV Support

NAKIVO Backup & Replication v8.5 further expands on the list of supported platforms with Nutanix AHV Support. Perform an incremental, application-aware backup of either full Nutanix VMs or of separate disks. Network Acceleration and LAN-free data transfer can ensure high performance of your Nutanix backups. You can also save storage space with the help of global data deduplication and variable compression options.

Replication From Backup

NAKIVO Backup & Replication v8.5 allows you to replicate your VMs directly from backups. This allows you to decrease the use of system resources required for replication as no additional snapshots of the production VM are created. The whole process can be automated with Job Chaining, meaning that a successful backup job can trigger the replication job with a backup as the source.

Ransomware-Proof Mini Backup Appliance Based on Raspberry Pi

Having a small footprint, NAKIVO Backup & Replication v8.5 can be installed on Raspberry Pi, which allows you to create a portable, ransomware-proof backup appliance. With modest pricing and compact size, Raspberry Pi is the perfect means to protect your data securely and affordably.

Windows Server 2019 Support

Automated Update

NAKIVO Backup & Replication v8.5 automates the update process letting you stay up-to-date with frequent software releases. Install updates in a few clicks right from the web interface and get access to all the latest features and improvements as soon as they are available.

Support of NAS Devices with ARMv8 CPU

Starting from v8.5, NAKIVO Backup & Replication can be installed on NAS devices with ARMv8 CPU from such vendors as ASUSTOR, Synology, and QNAP.

• Active Directory integration: domain controller hostname / IP can be explicitly specified
• Ability to remove last recovery point was added for backups
• AWS EC2 transporters were switched to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
• ASUSTOR ADM 3.1 and 3.2 are now supported for installation
• AWS EC2 backup repository can be resized beyond 16 TB
• VM folder selection was made available for VMware VM Failback action of Site Recovery Job
• t3.micro instance type is used by default for AWS EC2 transporter deployment
• Application-aware mode setting is propagated to new VMs in a job
• Database attachment was made available for a tenant support bundle
• Last job run ending date and time was added to job dashboard
• Installer scalability was improved to utilize more resources on high end servers
• Policy view was added to site recovery job actions
• Email Settings and Email Notifications were merged in Configuration area
