Proxmox VE Support v8.0 to 8.2

隨著此版本釋出，NAKIVO Backup & Replication 正式支援 Proxmox VE Virtual 虛擬平台架構，支援如下：

• Discover supported Proxmox VE items: clusters and standalone hosts (nodes) and add them to the Inventory
• Back up Proxmox VE VMs
• Copy Proxmox VE VM backups
• Recover Full Proxmox VE VM from backups
• Perform File recovery from Proxmox VE VM backups to source or custom VMs
• Perform Object recovery from Proxmox VE VM backups to a custom destination
• Perform Universal Object recovery from Proxmox VE VM backups for a VM disk
• Perform Export disks from Proxmox VE VM backups.

Microsoft 365 Backup to Cloud｜M365 備份到雲端

You can now back up your Microsoft 365 data to all incremental with periodic full data storage type repositories including cloud and those that support immutability. Backup copy to and from is supported, as well as recovery from all incremental with periodic full data storage type repositories.

您現在可以將 Microsoft 365 的資料備份至所有包含增量備份並定期進行完全備份的資料儲存庫類型，包括雲端儲存及支援不可變動性(immutability)的儲存庫。支援備份複製至這些儲存庫及從這些儲存庫，並且支援從所有包含增量備份並定期進行完整備份的資料儲存庫進行復原。

Federated Repository｜聯邦儲存庫

You can now create federated repositories to be used as a destination for new and existing backup/backup copy jobs.

The feature allows you to combine existing backup repositories as members of a federated repository and scale the federated repository horizontally as needed.

Source-side backup encryption is now available.

It allows you to protect backup data against breaches by encrypting data before it leaves the source.

File Share Backup to Any Storage｜共享檔案備份支援任意儲存區
File share backups and backup copies can now be stored in local or cloud repositories (such as Amazon S3/ Amazon EC2/ Wasabi/ Backblaze/ S3-compatible storage platforms / Azure Blob) and on deduplication appliances (such as HPE StoreOnce).

File Restore through Permanent Agent

With the File Restore through Permanent Agent feature, you can now manually select the proxy transporter to mount the backups and communicate with the auto-detected permanent virtual machine agent at the target destination for File Level Recovery to Source jobs.

HydraStor WORM filesystem support

With the File Restore through Permanent Agent feature, you can now manually select the proxy transporter to mount the backups and communicate with the auto-detected permanent virtual machine agent at the target destination for File Level Recovery to Source jobs.

SSL Certificate Installation

The recovery points can now be made immutable in the Backup Repositories located in the NEC HYDRAstor deduplication appliances.
 

Granular Notifications : Viewing Job Run Details

You can now access job run details in the Activities dashboard by clicking on the details link.

 

Improvements 增強

• The date picker was implemented which can now be used to select the recovery points for recovery. This improvement was added to the Backups step of the Recovery Job Wizards for VMware/Hyper-V/Amazon EC2/VMware Cloud Director/Nutanix/Physical server, File and Object Recovery Wizards.
  Also, the date picker is now used during recovering the configuration of NAKIVO Backup & Replication from a self-backup stored in a Backup Repository (System Configuration Recovery wizard).
• NAKIVO Backup & Replication introduced the Support Lifestyle Policy that regulates the periods of the product support lifecycle.
• Schedule retention and legacy retention for backup copy jobs are enhanced with more options that make the retention configuration more flexible for backup copy jobs using a backup repository or tape as a destination.
  These options allow to synchronize recovery points, apply custom retention to recovery points, copy 1 latest full recovery point, and configure the number of points to be kept in the target.
• Job history reports now feature the Calendar View hyperlink. Clicking on it opens the high-level calendar view page with the summary of the backup status of every backup item within a single job.
• The product API can now capture both the running and skipped jobs due to schedule overlaps. The returned data is now processed as described for the getProcessedVms API in this document.
• It is recommended to store backups in a new Azure backup repository with a new container utilizing block blob type optimized for better performance and uploading speed.
• Displaying current information about the job was improved: the name of the schedule associated with the last job run is now shown with the following exceptions:
  • If the schedule name is not set, the product displays a number of the schedule.
  • If the job was run manually and in the manual run no specific schedule settings were used, the “Manual run” is displayed instead of the schedule name.
• The product now allows searching for recovery points based on their source backup object names. Also, searching for recovery points is now available as a part of the Global Search feature.
• The following vendors for generic S3-compatible object storage are now supported in addition to the existing ones:
  • IDrive e2
  • OVH Cloud
  • Cubbiit (cubbit.io)
  • Pilvio (pilw.io)
  • QNAP QuObject
  • Google Cloud
  • VASTdata

Announcements

• Starting from NAKIVO Backup & Replication v11.0, the solution can no longer be installed on Raspberry Pi.(已不支援 Raspberry Pi 樹莓派)。
